RED ARROW ANNOUNCES SERVICE TO GRANDE PRAIRIE
CALGARY, August 23, 2018: Red Arrow is proud to announce that we’re expanding our network and launching a new route between Edmonton and Grande Prairie, Alberta. There’s never been a more important time for increased mobility solutions within the province, and Red Arrow is committed to bridging that gap.
The service will launch on October 14, 2018 and will see the coach depart Edmonton in the morning, arriving in Grande Prairie in the afternoon and returning from Grande Prairie to Edmonton in the evening. This route will also serve the communities of Valleyview, Fox Creek, Whitecourt, Mayerthorpe, and Spruce Grove.
With a proven track record of exceptional dedication to safety and customer service, Red Arrow offers a unique travel experience with features such as free WIFI, complimentary snacks and refreshments, generous luggage allowance, wheelchair accessibility, and comfortable leather seating. This is the only luxury service of its kind operating in Canada and we’re thrilled to bring it to Grande Prairie and area.
Red Arrow knows that this route will be essential for members of the public needing to travel between the two cities for employment, social or family visits, medical appointments, and/or educational opportunities. The new service also gives passengers the opportunity to access the broader Red Arrow network that connects to over 20 other cities and communities across Alberta.
Marg McCuaig-Boyd, MLA for Dunvegan-Central Peace-Notley states, “I'm pleased to see Red Arrow offering much-needed transportation for people across rural Alberta, particularly in the northwest part of the province. We know that folks need good public transportation to get to necessary medical appointments or visit family and friends. I’m happy to see transportation providers offering new services like this. Our government also launched a Rural Transportation Pilot Project and announced our new Alberta Community Transit Fund for regional transit services. Ensuring there are affordable public transportation connections between communities is vital to getting rural Albertans where they need to go, no matter where they live.”
“It's clear that the accessibility of these regions is valued and greatly impacts a considerable segment of our province,” says John Stepovy, Director of Sales and Business Development for Pacific Western Transportation. “Folks in northern and rural Alberta are particularly affected by accessibility and so we’re pleased to be able to serve the needs of the residents in these communities.”
Dean Wright, Vice President of Red Arrow Motorcoach, agrees. “Red Arrow is proud to be a homegrown Alberta company that’s been connecting people and communities for almost 40 years. Increasing our schedules and adding new service points will provide choice to the consumer and assist people in reaching more of the province.”
Please note that we are not taking reservations for the Grande Prairie route at this time. We will update once bookings go live!
